Fall warbler
Saw these tiny birds, no more than 3 or 4 inches long, flitting around the trees on my walk this morning. My best guess is that it is a Nashville warbler headed south on its fall migration, but I'm such a beginner birder that I could be way off. Hummingbirds visited my flowers a week ago, and the mornings and evenings are starting to feel a bit nicer. All signs that fall is arriving (slowly), despite the very hot afternoons. Maybe it's time to end 'An Illustrated Summer' and come up with something fun for fall...

Oh you captured the bird beautifully. Great work. You are such an amazing artist/illustrator. I have always been in love with your fabulous work. So sorry that I won't get to see you , but hopefully I will get to see you at the next SCBWI conference if you come in NYC.
Hugs to you always Amy,
V
Aww, thanks! I've been thinking it's about time to attend a winter conference again (brrr), and it'd be awesome to hang out again. Hmm...
