Library love

library love
Just returned Kitchen Diaries last night, but it was so good I may have to buy it one of these days: part cookbook, part journal of the seasons, on the plate and in the garden. Just checked out Jam it, Pickle it, Cure It on the same trip; love the idea of homemade crackers and marshmallows, but that may be unrealistic. Might just stick to learning how to pickle a few things from the farmers' market. Or from my garden, if it would ever produce more than one cucumber a week.

Note on painting text freehand: best to have a guide! Didn't leave room for the final 'it' on the second title. Live and learn.

Amy your work always, ALWAYS leaves me speechless and amazed at how you take the simple pleasures and turn them into such interesting and wonderful works of art. This is wonderful. I love all these fantastic pieces. You are such a fabulous illustrator. Great work.

I adore these illustrations.
I used to own Kitchen Diaries and loved it!
My friend borrowed it and I forgot to pick it up from her before I moved down to Austin-darn it.
I'm so glad you stopped by my blog today :)
Your work is just stunning.

Just found your blog through Abby - it's gorgeous! And yay for Austin bloggers!

Kitchen Diaries is my favorite book. Ever. I read it through slowly, then start over and read it again throughout the year. Lurve it.

Yes, Kitchen Diaries is definitely on my list to own. Just seems like an old friend you'd want to have on hand for lazy Sunday afternoons. Or recipes.
