Like candy for artists
Testing out my new paints today, unwrapping each little half pan like a gift. And creating a color key is both helpful and satisfying. You can see how much smaller this set is compared to my regular palette for the studio. Below, some wild horses I discovered yesterday behind Cheapo Discs.

Yummy!
Scrumptious. Where do you order your Schmincke from? I love that the little candies are called pans. And what a great idea to make a little color key. Thanks Amy.
WOW! Those are gorgeous! Your post is like eye candy for illustrators. :)
Saw you guys had a blast at your conference! I hope we have as good a time. We have Laurent Linn as our illo speaker and I'm practically doing cartwheels about it!
Suzanne-I got mine from Blick Art online, after considering them for a couple of years. They feel so much better, richer than my cheap travel set. Diandra-The conference was really good. As for Laurent Linn, he gave one of the most useful illustrator promo talks I ever went to; you guys have a fabulous line-up!
They looks so yummy, I could just pop them in my mouth. Nice photography. Can't wait to see what you do with them!
I totally agree with the yummy comment!
Oh, I love new art supplies - always so inspiring. I haven't been to your blog in a while and I'm loving everything I see. Your sketchbook project is just amazing. Keep going, keep going! I wish I could have been at the Austin conference.
They are like drugs man. Such yumminess I can't stand it. I have to go shopping now. This is great!
So glad I'm not the only one excited by art supplies! Heather-thanks! And I was hoping to see you at the conference, too. Vanessa-yep, and the fix you can get from them lasts so many illustrations...
Aren't they so amazing! I recently upgraded to a 48 half pan set from my smaller set, they are so rich. Nothing compares :-))
Ooh, the 48 color set! Great to hear that you've test-driven these and praise them highly. I'm still enjoying the testing phase...
